Chase one of North America’s most striking predators across the top of the world. This 8-day spring arctic grizzly hunt takes place in the remote far-west mainland of Canada’s Northwest Territories, where you’ll travel by snowmobile across many miles of unspoiled arctic wilderness with two experienced Inuit guides at your side. Have questions? Our hunt consultants have been to the NWT — talk to someone who knows the terrain firsthand.
Arctic grizzlies are beautiful bears, often carrying hair over 4 inches long with no rubs — some of the finest hides in the bear world. Average boars on this hunt square 7’0″ to 8’6″, and success rates are very high. With long spring days and endless open country, this is as pure an arctic adventure as it gets.
Hunt Overview
Spring hunts run from late April through the end of May, with eight full days of hunting. Each hunter is paired with two Inuit guides, traveling by snowmobile from a base of heated wood cabins. Success rates are very high, and the hunt can be planned as a combo hunt with wolf — ask your hunt consultant for current availability and pricing.
The Experience
The days this time of year are long, and many miles of untouched land will be traveled as you glass for bears on the spring snow. When a mature boar is spotted, your guides will help you close the distance for a spot-and-stalk opportunity — rifle or bow. Evenings are spent back at camp with a warm meal and a heated cabin.
