This is about as close to a guaranteed trophy hunt as it gets in the West. These are fully guided rifle pronghorn hunts on private ranchland in Unit 46, in northeastern New Mexico — landowner tags included, no draw — and the operation has run at 100% success over its last three seasons. New Mexico is one of the hottest antelope states in the country right now, and these grasslands show you why.
The bucks here average in the mid-70s, with a real shot at something bigger. Hunts are limited each season to keep pressure low and quality high, and the guide team has years of experience locating and judging mature bucks on this ground.
The Hunt
Hunts run in the second half of August — prime time for pronghorn, when bucks are patternable on the open grass. You’ll cover ground by 4×4, glass, and make spot-and-stalk plays across wide-open country. It’s a classic Western hunt with plenty of action, and a great first hunt out West or a fast add-on to your fall. Guiding is 2-to-1.
Private Land & Landowner Tags
Your tag comes with the hunt — no application, no draw odds. That alone separates this from most Western pronghorn hunts, where nonresident draw odds get worse every year. You book, you hunt.
Lodging & Meals
Your hunt includes lodging in a comfortable private lodge and home-cooked meals — three a day — for the duration of your stay. Show up with your rifle; the rest is handled.
