Hunt bull elk on a sprawling 10,000-acre private ranch in New Mexico’s Unit 5A, bordering over 6 miles of the Jicarilla Apache Reservation. This prime location creates a natural corridor for elk movement, with bulls regularly pushing onto the ranch from the surrounding tribal lands where hunting pressure is minimal. Trophy quality on this ranch runs 300 to 350 inches on bull elk.
The terrain is physically easy — most hunting is conducted via pickups and UTVs across open meadows, rolling hills, and scattered pinyon-juniper breaks. Whether you’re spot-and-stalking across open country or sitting a strategic blind or stand, this ranch offers consistent opportunities at quality bulls without the grueling mountain grind of backcountry hunts.
Archery hunters will experience the peak of the rut in September, with bulls bugling across the property. Rifle hunters take advantage of later season dates when elk are moving predictably between feed and cover. The ranch also holds an excellent mule deer population, making it an ideal destination for a combo hunt.
Private land vouchers are included, meaning your tags are guaranteed — no draw required. You’ll stay in a comfortable lodge right on the ranch with home-cooked meals, and your guides handle all in-field trophy care so you can focus on the hunt.
